Flow testing fire hydrants

Posted on 03/13/201103/16/2011 By Historic City News

The St. Augustine Fire Department reported to Historic City News that, beginning tomorrow, March 14th, they will be flow testing fire hydrants in the area north of Castillo Drive and south of San Carlos Avenue between US-1 and San Marco Avenue.

In order to cause the least amount of disruption, restaurants and hotels will be notified when the flow testing will affect water pressure in their area.

The St. Augustine Fire Department will continue to flow test hydrants to obtain accurate pilot pressure readings, as weather permits.

Flow testing for the hydrants will begin Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, except holidays, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., as needed.
