Historic City News readers are invited to hear former Majority Leader for the Florida House of Representatives, Adam Hasner, speak at the Molasses Junction Tea Party Friday, June 17, 7 p.m., at the Molasses Junction store located at 6300 CR 214 and the junction of CR-13A.
Adam Hasner’s conservative ideology leads some to compare him to Marco Rubio. He was selected to serve as the Deputy Majority Leader of the Florida House of Representatives by then-Speaker Marco Rubio in 2007 and promoted by Rubio to Majority Leader later that year.
“This has never been a guy who ran as a moderate and certainly not a guy who governed as a moderate. His voting record is that of a limited-government conservative,” Hasner adviser Rick Wilson said.
Hasner represented parts of Southern Palm Beach County and northern Broward County and is now a candidate for the U.S. Senate, opposing incumbent Senator Bill Nelson.
The Molasses Junction Tea Party is an affiliate of the St. Augustine Tea Party and the Tea Party Network.
