Historic city loses accomplished blues artist

Posted on 01/28/201101/31/2011 By Historic City News

Jim Stafford, President of Eclipse Recording Company, told Historic City News reporters that local musician Marty Scott passed away this past Saturday and “will leave a void impossible to fill.”

For the past 16 years, Stafford says that Scott enriched the airwaves, and our lives, with his incredible knowledge of the Blues art form.

“In addition to being a fine player,” Stafford remembered, “his support of the local music scene and encouragement of up and coming players was an inspiration.”

“Marty, Thanks for the music,” Stafford said. “You are already missed.”
