Loss of Flagler deputy mourned

Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming informed Historic City News this morning of the sudden death of Sergeant Frank Celico who joined the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office in May 2000.

“The community and this agency have lost a dedicated professional,” said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming. “Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.”

Details surrounding Celico’s death were not provided; however, according to a report received from Public Information Officer Debra Johnson, he passed away at Florida Hospital Flagler earlier today of natural causes.

Sergeant Celico was 33 years-old.

Details of the arrangements for this eleven-year veteran of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will be announced when they becomes available.
