Growing up in the home of two military parents, one of whom was a photographer, awards you the opportunity to visualize, at a young age, the horror of war and the imagination of our servicemen trying to find a way to cope.
What’s also interesting is how, in the 1940’s, images that showed war atrocities were considered “classified” and not made available to the public.
By the 1970’s, during the height of the Vietnam War, we had conflict and bloodshed spilling out of our television sets every night.
