Renee Stambaugh reported to Historic City News that this month’s meeting of the Florida Native Plant Society will feature “Plant Life and Mosquito Habits” as the feature program.
The local Sea Oats chapter meets at 7:00 pm on June 21st at the St. Augustine Beach City Hall, 2200 A1A South.
Commissioner Jeannie Moeller will discuss the “who, what, when, where and how” of the Anastasia Mosquito Control District.
Whitney Qualls, PhD Candidate and the Biologist for Anastasia Mosquito Control District, will present a program on Plants and Mosquitoes. “We continue to research mosquito habits and their likes and dislikes regarding plant life”, says Qualls.
These programs are free, open to the public and include prizes of native plants.
