Events Coordinator Lisa Gardner told Historic City News reporters that the City of Palm Coast will host “Palm Coast unites in Remembrance” on Monday morning, May 30th at 8:30 a.m.
This Memorial Day event will salute our national and hometown veterans and pay tribute to those who lost their lives in battle. Light refreshments will be served.
Guest speakers will include Mayor Jon Netts, Council Member Brigadier General Holsey Moorman, VFW Post #8696 Commander Terry Howard and District Representative John Booker on behalf of Congressman John Mica.
The ceremony will also include a wreath presentation by the Sons of the American Revolution, a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace, performed by Patrick Juliano, and, the singing of the Star Spangled Banner by resident Juhlya Willis.
Palm Coast Unites in Remembrance will be held at Heroes Park, located on Palm Coast Parkway westbound, half-mile west of the Flagler County Library.
