Republican Unity Rally planned for October 22
Party Chairman Harlan Mason invited Republican readers of Historic City News in St. Augustine and St. Johns County to attend a political rally, educational and social event later this month at the St. Augustine Shrine Club.
The St. Johns County Republican Party will hold its “2011 Unity Rally” on Saturday, October 22nd; which promises to offer the opportunity to hear our elected officials and candidates speak on the important issues for the upcoming election.
“Coming off a very successful Presidency 5 Straw Poll, which saw Herman Cain pull off a surprise win over a strong field of Presidential candidates, we move towards the kick off to the 2011 electoral season,” Mason told Historic City News.
Although Mason says several other guests and speakers are pending, among elected officials already scheduled to participate are State Representatives Bill Proctor and Doc Renuart as well as St. Johns County officials; Property Appraiser Sharon Outland, Supervisor of Elections Vicki Oakes, School Board Member Carla Wright and the Chairman of the Anastasia Mosquito Control Board, Col. Ron Radford.
Beginning at 12:00 noon and continuing through 3:00 p.m., Saturday afternoon, mix and mingle with your friends and fellow party members, express your opinions and learn more about announced candidates; including, for State Representative, Kim Kendall, and for District 1 County Commission, Brian Iannucci.
Food and drinks will be provided during the event and a cash bar is available.

In addition to Chairman Harlan Mason, officers of the Republican Executive Committee are First Vice-Chairman – Sean Mulhall, Second Vice-Chairman – Roy Alaimo, Recording Secretary – Eric West, Treasurer – Bob Veit, Corresponding Secretary – Pat Greenfield, Member at Large – Gary Howell, State Committeeman – Randy Covington and State Committeewoman – Becky Reichenberg.
The Republican Party of St. Johns County meets the second Thursday of every month at the Special Events and Conference Center of the Northeast Florida Regional Airport at 4730 Casa Cola Way in St. Augustine.
