St. Johns County Sheriff David Shoar told Historic City News that he, along with Crime Prevention Deputies, will be making it easier for citizens to obtain valuable information about their local Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Shoar will be available to answer citizens’ questions and present valuable crime prevention tips at area Publix grocery stores during a six-week Community Outreach plan.
The first two Community Outreach programs will be held on Saturday, April 16th, at the Publix of the World Golf Village at 84 Tuscan Way and on Sunday, April 17th, at the Publix at 955 SR-16 beginning at 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
“Because many people work Monday through Friday, it is extremely hard to schedule appointments,” Sheriff Shoar said. “I feel this will be a casual way for our citizens to ask direct questions to me about the state of law enforcement in our county as well as future plans.”
