Keep St Augustine a boat-friendly area

As suggested by Boat Owners Association of the United States and other groups, the City of St. Augustine is holding a second meeting to receive input on new regulations for anchoring in the city.

We strongly encourage all area cruisers to participate in this meeting to ensure a reasonable approach is taken and that St. Augustine remains a boating-friendly area.

St. Augustine is participating as one of five cities in the state’s mooring and anchoring pilot project. As part of this project, the City will be allowed to develop an ordinance to limit nearby anchoring.

The first meeting saw excellent turn-out from the boating community. If you were not able to attend the first meeting please consider taking time to attend this second session.

The meeting will be held on Thursday, June 30th, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room of City Hall, located at 75 King Street in St. Augustine.
