Public Works Director Martha S. Graham, P.E., has issued a “boil water” warning to Historic City News readers in the area of Masters Drive, from Avery Street to Josiah Street, in St Augustine.
“Due to a water main break in your area, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled,” Graham said.
According to Public Affairs Director Paul Williamson, this precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is once again safe to drink.
“A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient,” Graham advises. “As an alternative, bottled water may be used.”
If you have any questions, you may contact the public works department at (904) 825-1040.
“We apologize for any inconvenience caused,” Williamson said.
