Historic City News takes note that on June 7, 2005, the U.S. Congress issued a Concurrent Resolution calling on the President of the United States to issue a proclamation calling upon the people of the United States to observe “Cinco de Mayo” with appropriate ceremonies and activities.
According to reports received by Historic City News today, St. Johns County resident, Sandlin Smith, was shot and killed by officers with the FBI and Oklahoma Highway Patrol when they attempted to take him into custody in connection with a bombing that occurred last year.
St. Johns County Administrator, Michael Wanchick, is encouraging Historic City News readers to participate in the process that will establish the county’s operating budget for the Fiscal Year 2012.
