The Boys and Girls Club in St Augustine announced to Historic City News reporters that it has chosen Keon Woods, a fourth grader at Osceola Elementary School, as their Youth of the Month.
Keon brings a positive and uplifting attitude to the club, and is very helpful to staff and other club members. The “stand out” member is selected monthly by staff, based on behavior and academic achievements.
His favorite activities at the club are foosball, pool, and all the gym activities.
Club staff describe Keon as a joy to be around, and a youth who has an infectious laugh and smile. The Boys & Girls Club Youth of the Month program encourages good citizenship and civic responsibility among its members.
THE PLAYERS Championship Boys and Girls Club in St Augustine is located at 555 West King Street. It is a branch of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida and an affiliate of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. For 45 years, Boys and Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida have provided daily after-school programs to nearly 1,500 young people at 14 facilities in St Johns, Duval and Nassau counties.
