Cell phone of missing beach resident discovered

Detectives are hoping that Historic City News readers in St Augustine and St Johns County can provide further information as to the whereabouts of a 22-year old female whose cell phone was discovered by a jogger along the roadside in St Augustine Beach.

Sherrie Lynne Donato, who resides at St Augustine Beach, has not been heard from since approximately 1:00 a.m. this morning according to a family member who reported her missing.

“There is no evidence of foul play,” Sheriff’s media relations officer Kevin Kelshaw told Historic City News when placing the alert. “She may have simply lost the phone last night, accidently; which could explain why she hasn’t called anyone.”

Donato is described as a white female, 5’3”, 128 lbs., long brown hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to be wearing a purple mini skirt, cream-colored sleeveless top, brown flip-flops and is known to wear black and aqua-colored glasses.
