St Johns River State College announced to local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that faculty, administration and staff recently held a pinning ceremony honoring the Radiologic Technology students.
The 17 students were presented with a special pin during the ceremony before family and friends, recognizing their accomplishments and hard work in completing the program and becoming eligible to join the profession of Radiologic Technologists.
The Radiologic Technology program is offered on the St Augustine campus. Specific prerequisites and requirements must be completed prior to the student’s first day of the application period.
St Johns River State College faculty and administration also honored the clinical sites and technologists from area hospitals who have helped students gain hands-on experience.

The Associate in Science degree program prepares students for careers as radiologic technologists. Graduates will be eligible to apply for and take the National Certification Examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification is recognized throughout the country. Successful completion of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists examination allows students to become licensed by the State of Florida to practice radiography in the state.
