Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
State Road 207: Daytime shoulder closures Monday through Friday for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from Armstrong Road to Old State Road 207 in Spuds.
State Road 312: Traffic has been shifted on the eastbound lanes of the Mickler-O’Connell Bridge over the Matanzas River. Motorists should use caution while driving in the area as crews prepare to repair and repaint the bridge. Pedestrians are advised to avoid the east bridge. Boaters should be aware that the vertical clearance for the bridge will be reduced by four feet beginning Monday until July 15.
State Road 312: Nighttime lane closures from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. at US 1 Monday through Friday for turn lane construction by St. Johns County. Questions may be directed to Project Manager Greg Caldwell in the St. Johns County Engineering Division at (904) 209-0132 orgcaldwell@sjcfl.us.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez Monday through Thursday while crews repaint the roadway markings.
US 1: Nighttime lane closures for southbound traffic from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street while crews unload and place concrete beams. Traffic has been shifted and the left turn lane removed onto eastbound King Street for southbound US 1 traffic.
US 1: Daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday from Rambla Street near the St. Augustine City Gates to King Street while crews construct paved shoulders along the roadway, excluding the construction zone at the San Sebastian River Bridge.
