Historic City News readers are invited to visit the Northeast Florida Regional Airport Saturday, June 2, when our local 12,000 square-foot “state-of-the-art” airline terminal will be transformed into a Bahamian island paradise as part of “Destination Bahamas” events.
Admission is free to this afternoon-long celebration of easy travel — available directly between St Augustine and the Islands of the Bahamas.
Live performances by a Bahamas Junkanoo band will entertain the attendees as they enjoy a lunch of traditional Bahamian food.

The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism joins the Northeast Florida Regional Airport at St Augustine in sponsoring this fun-filled day dedicated to all the wonderful things offered in the Islands.
Air charter companies will be on hand to offer you a glimpse of the aircraft they have available for travel to and from the Bahamas. Marine related businesses will be promoting fishing, diving and snorkeling.
