The last day to vote early in the Presidential Preference Republican Primary Election is Saturday, January 28th from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at any one of six early voting locations within St. Johns County, Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes told Historic City News.
Election Day will be Tuesday, January 31, however, if you wait to vote until then, you must vote at your assigned precinct, only. If voting Friday or Saturday, vote at any of the six locations at your convenience.
Oakes reminds voters that help is available on her website www.votesjc.com or by calling (904) 823-2238 during office hours.

If you are voting absentee — return your ballot to any one of the early voting locations before 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28th.

If you miss the cutoff — you may still cast your absentee ballot by bringing it to the Supervisor of Elections office before 7:00 on Election Day. Absentee ballots will not be accepted on Tuesday, January 31 at any precinct polling place or other early voting location.
A few reminders to assist in the voting experience:
• Florida is a closed primary state, which means that you must be registered with a political party to vote in the party’s primary.
• Confirm your address before voting. Use the voter lookup on our website or contact the elections office.
• Make sure you bring a current and valid photo and signature ID.
