Investigate donation requests from telephone solicitors

Lt Jeremy Robshaw reported to Historic City News that his office has recently been notified that telephone solicitors have been calling residents and businesses requesting donations to benefit St Johns County Fire Rescue.

Robshaw could not comment on the legitimacy of these particular calls; however, he cautioned that St Johns County Fire Rescue is not currently soliciting donations or raising funds.

“These organizations should be thoroughly investigated for legitimacy prior to sending donations,” Robshaw warned.
