Lightkep capital felony trial begins Thursday

Public Affairs Director Klare Ly, from the Office of State Attorney RJ Larizza, reported to Historic City News that at 9:00 a.m. Thursday and Friday, March 29 and 30th, George Robert Lightkep, Jr., will face capital felony charges of sexual battery on a child less than 12 years-old.

Lightkep, 66 years-old, was arrested on October 7, 2011 by St Johns County Sheriff’s deputies and charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, a life felony, on which he has been held under $250,000 bond; and the capital felony sexual battery charge, without bond.
