A man with a violent history, who was recently released from prison and is known to be armed, is the subject of a manhunt by St Johns County detectives; and, Sheriff David Shoar is asking for help from Historic City News readers who may know the whereabouts of this dangerous man.
Over the past two days, 28-year-old Henry Darnell Reese Jr. sold cocaine to undercover detectives in St Johns County. When deputies attempted to stop Reese, he fled the scene in a vehicle. As he made his escape, he crashed into another vehicle. He continued his escape on foot; eluding capture yesterday.
Reese is described as 5’05”, 188 lbs. He faces arrest on three-counts of sale of cocaine, reckless driving, fleeing and attempting to elude police, and leaving the scene of a collision with property damage.
Shoar cautioned readers not to attempt to apprehend Reese. Observe and report his location to authorities. Anyone with information concerning this criminal is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 824-8304.
