Paul Studivant reported to local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that the St Johns County Pet Holding and Adoption Center enjoyed a successful month for pet adoption in October; with 103 pets placed overall.
The recent “Tails-and-Treats” adoption event, presented in partnership with the Friends of the Pet Center, helped push the month’s totals over the century-mark.
“We would like to extend a big thank you to the volunteers who donated their time to ensure those pets found a new home,” Studivant told reporters. “In an effort to provide the public with additional opportunities to find a new pet during the holidays, we will continue the extended hours of operation that we implemented on September 1.”
