Saturday afternoon, 33-year-old Jason C Stockwell became the third man to be arrested for lewd and lascivious molestation in a wooded area of the Graham Swamp Preservation Area in Palm Coast; after the Sheriff’s Office publicized in October that they were instituting a proactive patrol program to prevent such crimes.
In October, the Sheriff’s Office launched a sting operation; arresting two men charged with unnatural and lascivious acts and exposure of sexual organs. Since those arrests, foot and bike patrols are routinely scheduled in the Graham Swamp Preservation area and along bike trails and pedestrian paths throughout Flagler County.
According to a statement from the 15-year-old victim, Stockwell, who resides at 48 Clubhouse Drive, Apt 205, in Palm Coast, accosted the juvenile around 2:00 p.m. as he was walking through the area.
The teenager said the man, wearing dark sunglasses, a jacket and black shirt, pulled down his own pants and exposed himself. Then, according to the juvenile, the man grabbed him, pulled down his pants and underwear and touched his genitals.
The teenager said he was able to break free and ran to the parking lot on Old Kings Road where he called the Sheriff’s Office.
Stockwell has been released from custody in lieu of $10,000 bond.
