Teen Summer Reading Program
Teen Summer Reading Program will be from June 1st – August 4th. Middle school and high school students are invited to participate in your own summer reading program! Simply read whatever you like and fill out a review on each book read to be entered into a weekly raffle. Weekly prizes are brand-new books for middle and high school youth. Book reviews will be entered into the grand prize raffle in August.
Storytimes
Tuesdays: June 5 & 19 @ 10:15 am Just for Babies Storytime
This Storytime is for babies up to 15 months and their caregivers. This infant lapsit is designed for one-on-one interaction between caregiver and baby.
Tuesdays: June 5 & 19 @ 11 am Family Storytime
This storytime is aimed at children 16 months-5 years and their families, though no child will be turned away!
Teen Gaming Night
Wednesday, June 6 @ 5 pm – School’s out for the summer! Enjoy your first evening of freedom with gaming at the library. Have fun with your friends at the library and play “E” and “T”-rated games on our PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and X-Box 360! Snacks will be served. Call 904-827-6950 for more details!
Summer Crafts with Teens
Saturday, June 9 @ 3 pm – Children, ages 5-11, are invited to make fun crafts with the teens of Nease High School’s Arts in Motion Club! All materials are provided, no registration needed, and it’s FREE!
LEGO Club for Tweens
Wednesday, June 13 @ 4 pm – Join our LEGO Club and bring your friends for an afternoon of fun building with Legos and hanging out at the library. No registration and it’s free! Thanks to our Friends of the Library for providing the Legos.
FLYP Event: Jungle Dreams presented by the Hastings Branch Youth Librarians
Thursday, June 21 @ 3:30 pm – We’re kicking off FLYP, a summer reading program for children, with a visit from the Hastings Branch Youth Librarians! Join us for an interactive program as we share stories, songs, ask for audience participation, and much more! Children of all ages are welcome.
