Historic City News readers have been invited to attend a construction open house in order to learn about upcoming resurfacing and sidewalk projects along SR-A1A in Ponte Vedra Beach, being presented by the Florida Department of Transportation.
Resurfacing a two-mile section of SR-A1A, from Mickler Road to the beginning of the four-lane section in Ponte Vedra Beach, is scheduled to begin in mid-December.
A new sidewalk will be constructed along the east side of SR-A1A from Corona Road to Solana Road.
The open house is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. and will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea church, located at 545 North SR-A1A.
Representatives will have a tent set up in the church parking lot. Visitors can drive up to the tent to receive information about the upcoming projects — including construction schedules, costs and anticipated traffic impacts.
