Spend a day in the Colonial Market Saturday

Posted on 05/11/201206/03/2012 By Historic City News 3 Comments on Spend a day in the Colonial Market Saturday

The City of St Augustine has invited Historic City News readers to plan to visit tomorrow’s Day in the Colonial Market — especially if you are looking for a Mother’s Day gift as unique and exceptional as St Augustine itself.

What has been called the newest “old” shopping experience in St Augustine has caught on as one of the community’s most distinctive places and ways to shop for some of the city’s most inimitable items.

A Day at the Colonial Market features local artisans, weavers, jewelers, farmers, theatre troupes, musicians, and everything in between; nestled against a backdrop like no other in the city — the Colonial Spanish Quarter.

Shoppers may want to bring their cameras — watching the activity at the market is as much fun as shopping.

The market opens tomorrow morning, May 12, at 10:00 a.m. and continues until 4:00 p.m.

Admission is free, but donations of a dollar per person are suggested and appreciated.
