Historic City News has been updated with the results of our local elections as we close in on the big day that will decide who will occupy the White House for the next four years.
Over 75% of the 26,776 absentee ballots mailed from the St Johns County Elections Office have been returned according to Supervisor Vicky Oakes.
Of the 20,330 absentee ballots returned so far, 11,728 were cast by registered Republican voters; 5,393 cast by Democrats; 3,209 cast by others.
52,569 St Johns County voters participated in early voting. By political party, 31,102 were cast by registered Republican voters; 12,933 cast by Democrats; 8,534 cast by others.
47.69% of all eligible St Johns County voters have already cast their ballot in the November 6 General Election.
If you have not yet voted, you can go to your assigned precinct on Tuesday and vote in person. Otherwise, you may obtain an absentee ballot and cast it at the Supervisor of Elections Office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
