Over 3000 athletes and 10,000 spectators participated in this weekend’s Suncoast Sports Festival at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, including a team of boys from St Johns County representing First Coast Gymnastics; who won 1st place overall.
The goal of this invitational, which was established in 2007, is to bring together athletes from all over the country to one arena, where the love of competition, athletics, and sportsmanship can be fostered. Competitors share the desire and goal of promoting competitive athletics.
The 2012 sports lineup included girls’ gymnastics, boys’ gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, acro-gymnastics, taekwondo, grappling, cheerleading, dance, basketball, baseball, and flag football.
