First Coast Gymnastics reported to Historic City News that their boys’ team (levels 4-10) placed 6th place, overall, in the 2012 Sue Whitlow Invitational at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
The boy’s team competes in USAG-sanctioned competitions all over the Southeast, as well as competitions at the State, Regional, and National level.
The First Coast Gymnastics facility is located in Mandarin; one mile south of the Avenues Mall. The gym is a fully air-conditioned, 12,000 square foot, state of the art gymnastics center — complete with spring floor, tumble track, trampoline, two foam filled pits, and USA Gymnastics approved apparatus.
St Johns County team members took a break from the competition for a photo with their Dads. From Left to Right: Dr. Richard Aquila with his son Alex, Kalofer Hristosov with son Peter, Coach Hollis, Bill McClure with son Bryce, Michael Third with son Jake, and Barry Underwood with his son, Wesley.
