St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes announced to local Historic City News reporters in St Augustine that tomorrow, Tuesday January 31st, registered Republicans will determine Florida’s Presidential Preference nominee.
There was no voting today, early voting in this hotly contested race wrapped up Saturday afternoon; however, Oakes said that voting precincts around the county will open promptly at 7:00 a.m. in the morning and remain open until 7:00 p.m. tomorrow evening.
“Confirm your address and precinct location before going out to vote,” Oakes reminded Historic City News readers. “You must vote at your assigned polling location, in your designated precinct on Election Day.” During the week of “early voting”, St Johns County voters were able to vote at any early voting location.
Make sure you bring a current and valid photo and signature ID in order to be given a ballot at the polls.
Voted Absentee Ballots cannot be turned in at the polls. In order to be counted, all voted Absentee Ballots must be returned to the Supervisor of Elections Office before 7:00 p.m. Election Day.
