Linda Murray reported to Historic City News that St Paul School of Excellence, in St Augustine’s historically black Lincolnville neighborhood, will host an Open House for children entering kindergarten, first and second grade from 6:00-7:30 PM on Thursday, February 16, 2012.
To be eligible for public kindergarten in St Johns County, children must be five years old on or before September 1 and must reside in St Johns County. To apply for first grade, children must be six years old on or before September 1 and have documentation of successful completion of kindergarten.
Parents must submit in a completed application by March 31, 2012 for Early Bird Lottery Admissions for the 2012-2013 school year. Applications can be obtained by visiting www.SPSchoolofExcellence.com or contacting Martha Brennan at (904) 540-0767.
The community will have the opportunity to hear the vision, philosophy and approach of St Paul School of Excellence, as well as participate in a question and answer session.
Applications will be available. Space is limited, so parents are encouraged to apply early to avoid being placed on a waiting list for admission.
