Both the Winn-Dixie grocery store and Hess convenience store located on CR-210 West, reported to the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office that a young woman, whose image was captured on surveillance video, attempted to use a credit card that had been reported stolen from the area last month.
“The credit cards certainly don’t belong to her,” Kevin Kelshaw told Historic City News reporters today when he forwarded the images taken at the crime scene. Since the cards were stolen from the same general area on November 19, it is likely that the person using the cards either lives or works in the area.
Detectives are hoping that at least one Historic City News reader will recognize the person from the pictures and come forward with that information.
The suspect is described as being a white female possibly in her early 20’s, 5’6” with long black hair.
At the time she went to the Winn Dixie grocery, she was wearing a blue hoodie with the words “Love Pink” on the hood and “Drafted by the Detroit Lions” on the back.
Anyone with information concerning this crime, or the identity of the woman involved, is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office at (904) 824-8304. You can remain anonymous and possibly be eligible for a cash reward by calling CrimeStoppers of Northeast Florida at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477).
