Volunteer Coordinator for St Augustine Sunrise Rotary’s annual Rhythm & Ribs event, Lance Conner, is asking Historic City News readers for help presenting this year’s festival, which attracts music lovers and barbeque aficionados from all over the Southeast.
Over 20,000 visitors come to enjoy the fun over the Festival weekend, which continues to grow each year.
“An event such as Rhythm & Ribs, which features award-winning barbecue, great live music and children’s activities, depends on volunteers,” Conner told Historic City News reporters. “We still need volunteers and will give students credit for community service.”
In addition to several international recipients of financial support from funds raised during Rhythm & Ribs, many local charities and non-profit organizations benefited from over $100,000 raised during last year’s festival.
Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks, including ticket sales, helping with children’s activities, grounds clean-up, food tent duties, sales of beer and wine as well as t-shirts in the Rotary Club tent.
