Historic City News was informed that a new volunteer advisory board has been appointed by Flagler County Sheriff James L. Manfre for the purpose of reviewing citizen complaints or concerns about the operation of the Sheriff’s Office and to propose recommendations for improvement to the sheriff after their review is complete.
The board will hold scheduled meetings and the Sheriff’s Office will be implementing a link on the agency website that will allow residents to file compliments or complaints in their dealings with sheriff’s staff.
“I think this board is important to assure that the agency is keeping in contact with the community we serve,” Sheriff Manfre told reporters. “Any agency can always do better and I will be depending on this board to make any recommendations they feel are needed.”
The initial advisory board members are:
Dennis Creamer, the Sheriff’s Commander of Volunteer Services; Dave Taylor, a retired
businessman; Jose Jimenez, a retired ITT employee; Linda Vestal, a retired New Jersey police chief; Martin Tucker, a seventh generation Flagler County resident; Isabella Milanes, a Palm Coast resident; Palm Coast City Commissioner Jason DeLorenzo; Flagler County Commission Chairman Nate McLaughlin and Lt. Robert Weber and Sgt. Mike Lutz of the Sheriff’s Office.
