Historic City News photographer Mark Cubbedge was at the St Augustine Amphitheatre last night for a performance by the legendary “rock and roll band with horns”, Chicago.
Keith Howland, James Pankow, Bill Champlin, Walt Parazaider, Tris Imboden, Lee Loughnane, Robert Lamm and Jason Scheff performed some of their best loved hits that earned their group worldwide recognition.
Formed in 1967 in Chicago, the group released their first album “Chicago Transit Authority” in 1969. They turned in a steady stream of hits throughout the 70’s and 80’s.
For over 40 years, Chicago has been entertaining audiences with their chart-topping music, and, this weekend, St Augustine audiences enjoyed the live performance by one of the longest running and most successful pop rock ‘n’ roll groups in history.
