Kristine Phillips, President of Phillips Broadcasting LLC, announced to local Historic City News reporters that the Chuck and Colleen Show is joining the weekday morning lineup at Newstalk AM 1240 WFOY with their live one-hour radio program during drive-time 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Chuck and Colleen White will continue to broadcast, Monday through Friday, from AM 1600 WZNZ in Jacksonville; where they launched their current show a few months ago.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Chuck and Colleen to our hometown line up,” Phillips told Historic City News. “As America’s First Couple of Radio, Chuck and Colleen will provide an excellent local, conservative, Christian-based talk show for our flagship WFOY audience.”
Newstalk WFOY is celebrating over 75 years of service to residents and visitors to St Johns County. They have previously announced a major technology upgrade at the station that will allow the simulcast of their AM stations, WFOY 1240 and WAOC 1420, on two new FM stations, WFOY 102.3 FM and WAOC 96.5 FM.
Phillips, who is the local station owner, said that her engineering staff will be putting WFOY 102.3 FM on the air within a few weeks, while WAOC 96.5 FM will sign on soon after its license is granted by the Federal Communications Commission.
Chuck White is a commercial real estate broker and his wife, Colleen, is an attorney. They originally began broadcasting together in 2010 before taking a break to launch their current program.
“We are excited to be in St Augustine to share our show with St Johns County residents who, like us, are hard-working conservative Christians,” Chuck White said in a statement from the radio station. “We’ll talk about a variety of stories; including news of the day, politics, society, raising a family and more.”
Colleen White added, “We’re real people and we offer a great sense of humor to the challenges we all face on a daily basis.”
