Historic City News readers are encouraged to participate when the St Augustine City Commission holds its second, and final, public hearing on Thursday, September 19th at 5:05 p.m., in the Alcazar Room at City Hall; completing the annual budget approval process.
The first of two required public hearings regarding the 2013-2014 budgets was held on Thursday, September 5th.
The budgets for the city’s two Community Redevelopment Areas, the Historic Area Transportation and Parking Redevelopment Area, and the Lincolnville Community Redevelopment Area, will be held starting at 4:30 p.m.
Two budget hearings are set for September 19th:
-4:30pm: budget for the city’s two CRAs
-5:05pm: budget for the City of St Augustine
The 2013-2014 Fiscal Year begins on October 1, 2013.
The agendas for each meeting, as well as the budget workbook and presentation developed for the commission’s August 22nd workshop, are available on the city’s website at www.staugustinegovernment.com.
If you plan to attend, the City Commission Budget Hearings will be held Thursday, September 19, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the Alcazar Room of the City Hall Building located at 75 King Street in St Augustine. New safety measures will require attendees to empty the contents of their pockets, subject their bags to search, and submit to an electronic frisk performed by uniformed police using handheld wands upon entry, or re-entry, to the meeting room. Allow sufficient additional time to accomplish this new safety measure.
