AC Entertainment contact Margaret Stolfi reported the first band cancellation of the Gentlemen of the Road stopover to Historic City News this morning.
A spokesperson for Nate Ruess, and the band Fun, scheduled to perform tomorrow with Mumford and Sons, has released a statement to the media for publication.
Due to doctor’s advice, fun unfortunately regrets to announce they will no longer be appearing at the Gentlemen of the Road festival this Saturday with Mumford and Sons.
The band is very disappointed as they have been looking forward to this festival all summer.
It is the band’s hope that Nate’s voice will get the proper rest it needs in order to avoid any further cancellations.
Fun would like to thank all the fans and Mumford and Sons for their understanding.
The group performed at the 55th Grammy Awards, held February 10, 2013. Their song, “We Are Young”, won the Grammy for the “Song of the Year” category. Fun also won the Grammy for “Best New Artist”. They were nominated for “Record of the Year”.
