Historic City News readers are aware that the Gentlemen of the Road Stopover, featuring Mumford and Sons, will necessitate traffic restrictions in the downtown area that includes street closures and limited access areas.
The event, Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14, is expected to draw approximately 25,000 additional people to the event site, Francis Field.
CLOSED STREETS
Streets bordering Francis Field will be closed to all traffic from 12:00 p.m. (noon) each day until 3:00 a.m. the following morning including:
• West Castillo Drive
• Orange Street from Riberia Street to Cordova Street
• Riberia Street from Orange Street to West Castillo Drive
• Cordova Street from Orange Street to West Castillo Drive
From 8:00 p.m. each day and continuing until 3:00 a.m. the following morning, vehicles will be prohibited entry to San Marco Avenue south of Old Mission Avenue and South Castillo Drive and Avenida Menendez north of the Bridge of Lions.
Vehicles will not be permitted entry into the historic district bounded by Cordova Street, Orange Street, Avenida Menendez, and Cathedral Place.
LIMITED ACCESS IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS
The three neighborhoods in the closest proximity to Francis Field will be accessible only by residents displaying a color coded pass.Respective neighborhood associations for Uptown, Abbott Tract, and Flagler Model Land, will deliver two passes, per residence, approximately one week prior to the event.
Additional passes are available for house-guests and residents with additional vehicles by calling 904.209.3750. Additional passes require proof of residence in the specific neighborhood.
