Commander Charles E. Mulligan advised local Historic City News reporters today that the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office, and cooperating agencies, believe that all of the packaged cocaine that washed up on the beach over the weekend has come ashore.
During a press conference this morning, the cocaine was on display to be photographed.
“Our detectives and resources from additional agencies are attempting to determine the origin of the cocaine,” Mulligan informed Historic City News. “No additional packages have been located since the original findings.”
Last week, a beaches resident located a package containing several kilos of cocaine; the estimated street value of which is said to be about $7.5 million dollars.
“These drugs will never be on our streets,” Mulligan said.
