The Saint Augustine Tea Party announced to Historic City News that constitutional expert, Ken Wood, will be the next guest speaker at their regular meeting on Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Inn.
Wood is a constitutional trainer to naval and marine officers and a member of Jacksonville Oath Keepers. He is still active Navy, and has served in seven deployments to the Persian Gulf — two deployments on the carriers George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.
“In these perilous times, with the federal government imposing it’s will without regard to the limits placed on it, it is imperative that each citizen have a thorough understanding of the Constitution,” a Tea Party spokesman told reporters. “The Constitution is the only thing that stands between liberty as we have known it and tyranny.”
Wood last spoke to the local group at their meeting on October 24, 2012. The Saint Augustine Tea Party regularly conducts speaker meetings on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
This informative meeting is open to members and the public free of charge. The Village Inn is located at 900 North Ponce de Leon Boulevard in St Augustine.
