St Johns County reported to Historic City News that the North Beach Walkover located on A1A south of 23rd street, at the North Beach Park, will be closed for replacement beginning Monday, March 18.
The park will remain open for public use; however, residents and visitors wishing to access the beach are encouraged to utilize other available access points within the area including:
• Vilano Beach Town Center
• Surfside Park
• South Ponte Vedra Park
All listed access points are equipped with restroom facilities, showers, and free public parking. In addition, beach parking is also available for a minimal fee at three locations within the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve.
The North Beach Walkover is scheduled to be replaced and re-opened for public use in June.
