Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw is asking Historic City News readers with information concerning the rash of criminal vandalism, which occurred over the weekend in three Northwest St Johns County neighborhoods, to come forward; and assist detectives in identifying those responsible for over $22,000 in damages.
According to Kelshaw, on Sunday morning, deputies responded to 17 residences in the Durbin Crossing North, Aberdeen and the Julington Creek Plantation areas to investigate vandalism reported to a total of 28 vehicles.
“Over 100 tires were slashed or punctured in the 1600 block of Fenton Avenue and in the 1700 block of Pennan Place,” Kelshaw reported. “Damages also occurred in the 400 block of Chattan Way and in the 100 block of Mahogany Bay Drive.”
