Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Bridge of Lions (Downtown St. Augustine): The bridge will be completely closed to motorists from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Wednesday
night for routine bridge maintenance. Motorists will be detoured to the State Road 312 bridge, but pedestrians will be permitted to use the Bridge of Lions sidewalks throughout the closure.
State Road 16: Daytime lane closures and turn lane closures from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Toms Road to San Marco Avenue for sod deliveries, pipe construction, installation of detectable warning surfaces on sidewalk ramps and roadway widening.
Also, nighttime lane closures from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Toms Road to San Marco Avenue for road resurfacing and sidewalk and drainage repairs.
State Road 206: Possible daytime lane closures from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. No total bridge closures with detours are scheduled until after Labor Day (September).
State Road 207: Daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from Old Hastings Road to two miles north for shoulder repairs.
State Road A1A: Daytime lane closures while crews install crosswalks and flashing pedestrian signals near Guana River State Park and near Matanzas Inlet.
Also, daytime lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. from the intersection with the Vilano Bridge to the Guana River State Park north parking lot for tree trimming and sweeping along the bike lane.
Also, daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez.
U.S. 1: Daytime lane closures while crews repaint the roadway markings from the Flagler County line to the Duval County line.
