McClure returns home – suffers setback

The family of local attorney, George McClure, provided an update to Historic City News on his condition since returning home from his most recent hospitalization.

According to a message received in our newsroom today, McClure suffered what they described as “a major setback” yesterday. He has been moved to the Bailey Center for Hospice care.

“The family appreciates all of your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes,” the message stated. “It has meant a lot to them — and to him.”

McClure is said to be resting comfortably.

“Thank you for understanding their request for privacy during this difficult time,” the family wrote. “We will try to keep you updated as much as possible.”
