The Friends of the Main Library invited Historic City News readers to attend when they host an entertaining and informative presentation on the development of reading and Libraries in St Augustine by Sandra Parks.
We will be given a glimpse of the local attitudes on reading and libraries; the effect of segregation on access to books; and the resources available during the ‘50s and ‘60s that are not available now.
Come join us for this special program from 2:00 – 4:00 PM on January 26th.
Light refreshments will be served. The program is open and free to the public.
The Friends of the Library is engaged in providing programs to the local community to help promote the joy of reading.
