Free haircuts and health screenings are among the services available for Historic City News readers who visit the St Johns County Career Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Solomon Calhoun Center located at 1300 Duval Street in St Augustine.
Representatives from Flagler Hospital, Advanced Disposal, St Johns River State College, St Paul School of Excellence, Solar Stik, WorkSource, St Johns County Health and Human Services, TLay Healthcare Services, and other local agencies will bring career and education services information for participants.
Among the free services being provided, are legal services, job coaching, interviewing techniques, how to dress for success, and resume writing. First Coast Technical College will have instructors on site from the culinary school as well as the cosmetology school.
The “St Johns County Career Fair”, formerly known as the West Augustine Career Fair, is sponsored in part by the West Augustine Community Redevelopment Agency, the St Johns County Board of County Commissioners, St Paul AME Church, the West Augustine Improvement Association, Weed & Seed, Recreation and Parks and New Mt Moriah Christian Ministries.
