Posted on 03/01/201303/01/2013 By Historic City News

400-LIGHTHOUSE-5KRUNThe Junior Service League of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that this weekend’s Lighthouse 5K and Fun Run, held in conjunction with the annual St Augustine Lighthouse Festival, will affect traffic in the Lighthouse and Davis Shores neighborhoods.

The event is set for Saturday, March 2 starting at 4:30 p.m.

City officials informed local reporters that traffic will be detoured, or momentarily interrupted. “We are asking drivers in the affected areas to use caution and expect brief inconveniences,” Director of Public Affairs Paul Williamson said.

The race starts at the St Augustine Lighthouse and Museum on Red Cox Drive and then follows a route along Carver Street East, Lighthouse Avenue, White Street, Magnolia Drive, Ocean Way, Anastasia Boulevard, Comares Avenue and Inlet Drive. Runners will continue along St Augustine Boulevard, Zoryada Avenue, Flagler Boulevard onto Comares Avenue and then return to the starting point by the same route.

A map is available online at the event’s website at www.lighthouse5k.com.
