While investigating the apparent murder and aggravated battery that occurred in the Bank of America parking lot near Wildwood Drive last night, another driver, 56-year-old Cindy Lynn Angell, drove around a marked patrol car and deputy — entering the crime scene with her vehicle.
According to the incident report, numerous deputies and detectives were collecting evidence in the closed-off section of the parking lot, and none was injured.
The driver, who resides at 721 Needle Grass Drive in St Augustine, was stopped and given a field sobriety test. Officers on the scene reported that she appeared intoxicated, was taken into custody and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol.
Angell remains in custody this morning in lieu of $500 bond at the St Johns County Detention Facility.
