Auto burglar facing additional charges

A 27-year-old homeless man was arrested in St Augustine last night after he broke in to a truck parked in the lot at the Edgewater Inn on Anastasia Boulevard.

Aaron Albert Stiner was questioned by St Augustine Police investigators, who were able to link him to an additional burglary at Planet Sarbez and an incident of criminal mischief at O’Steens Restaurant.

Stiner was charged with burglary to a conveyance, burglary to an unoccupied building, theft of a controlled substance and criminal mischief.

The defendant remains in police custody at the St Johns County Detention Facility in lieu of $16,000 bond.
